Why Give to CCPS?
Why does a public charter school need to raise money? A good question with a simple answer: what the state provides only covers about 85% of the funding needs that schools like Cottonwood Classical have. State funding is an essential foundation but doesn’t allow for the level of excellence our students and families are seeking. Educating the whole child for the whole world requires additional resources. That’s why we need everyone to chip in to make the world class education and world class programs that go with it a reality. Coyotes work and live as a pack. Here at CCPS so do we.
The CCPS Foundation supports the school in its fundraising efforts. These include:
- Providing financial support for classroom materials and needs outside the regular budget
- Funding scholarships for high school juniors and seniors taking International Baccalaureate exams (fees are charged by the International Baccalaureate organization)
- Supporting the school’s capital and infrastructure goals in order to provide the best environment possible for student learning
